Qortado is a small, nimble, and experienced team with expertise supporting the mining industry through expert regulatory guidance and implementation. We’re looking for a self-starting Regulatory Specialist to help navigate the complex permitting landscape in the natural resource sectors in British Columbia.

What You'll Do:

• Prepare and manage regulatory applications, including OLTCs, Road Use Permits, Water System Permits, Licences under the Water Sustainability Act, authorizations and notifications under the Mines Act, Environmental Management Act, and other statutes.
• Collaborate with clients, regulators, and internal teams.
• Monitor regulatory changes and provide strategic advice.
• Draft clear, high-quality technical documents.

What You Bring:

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on permitting experience in BC.
• Strong understanding of provincial regulatory frameworks.
• Familiarity with federal permitting (preferred but not required).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Capacity to work independently as part of a remote team.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and proactive work habits.
• GIS and database management skills (preferred but not required)
• Eligibility to work in Canada.
